Engaging the Entire Faculty
Through various means, the staff at Beth Tfiloh has been informed of the Green School Initiative and Beth Tfiloh's goal to become a "greener" school. At past teacher meetings, the Environmental Club chairs have presented Beth Tfiloh's goal to gain Maryland Green School Certification to the High School faculty. Also, the entire faculty was presented with the application process at a meeting at the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year.
However, the teachers at Beth Tfiloh are not the only faculty involved. Mr. Mark Kaiser, Director of Facilities & Technology, has been leading the efforts to unify and improve the school's green approach over the entire campus. He has been in constant contact with various audit, maintenance, and custodial staff in order to make sure that everyone has adjusted their operations in order to pursue a more environmentally friendly approach. |
